News to hand from the Temora goldfield reports that heavy rains havo lately fallen thpre, and it is estimated that sufficient water has been stored to wash 30,000 loads of stuff. Melbourne, 9fch May. Mrs. Jones, of tho Glenrowan Hotel, who was committed for trial on a change of harboring the Kellys, has been acquitted. Tflis Day. Extensive preparations are being made for the reception and entertainment of tho Koyal Princes on the arrival here of the detached squadron. Several grand balls will be given, including one by tho Mayor in the Exhibition Building. Adelaide, Thib Dat. Mrs. Newton, a passenger for Auckland by the Orient steamship Potosi, which J arrivod on Sunday from England, has met with an accident on board that vessel, resulting in her death.
