Evening Post Office, Saturday Afternoon The Cos tome duties collected at the port of Wellington for the week ending to-day,amounted to 43,700 18a llu Cboskbby, Hasell & Co. report sales in their rooms tbis week:— Flour, Backs, £10 to £10 lOi; oatmeal, £10 10 a; bran, £3 10s; pollard, £5; potatoes, SH 10s to £'6 pet ton; wheat, 3b 6d ; oats, sis to 2a 3d; borley,2B 6d; maize, 3s 6d per bushel; cheese, 4d ; hams and bucon, Od per lb ; chaff, £i 10s per ton ; appl«B,7s to 8s 6d ; pears. 9s to 12s ; quinces, 7b; oranges, 08 per cate; lowla, 4s 6d; ducks, ss ; turkeys, 10b ; geese, 8s per pair. JUieby & Campbell reuort that there is not much fruit in the market in first hands ; eggs are in very little demand ; a small lot of perfectly fresh eggs, Jroin Nelson, brought at auction '2b 6d, but two lola quite satisfied the demand ; fresh butter, in lump, brought lOJd to lid; fowls, 3b 3d to 3a Gd per pair ; ducks, 4s, 6d per pair ; turkeys, 6s 3d each ; geese, 4a 6d each ; potatoes ore still quoted at 60s to 55b, with only a languid market; ouions are still without much demand, and may be quoted at £4 10s to £5 ; a small consignment of about 2uO lacks oats realised 2b 3d on tho wharf yesterday at auction'
