IiYTTELTON, 10th April. Arrived— 2.ls p.m., Grafton, 3.50 p.m , Albion, , .from Wellington. ) Pobt Chalmbbb, 19th April. Arrived— Te Anau, from Melbourne and Ho* bart via tbe Bluff. Sailed— Wakatipu, for Sydney via Lyttelton and Wellington. Nelson. 20th April. Arrived, 9.40 a.m.— Kennedy, from Wellington WANQANUI. 20th April. Arrived, noon— Huia and Manawatu, from Wellington.
The sa. Wanaka left Port Chalmers at 1.10 p.m. on the 18th. and reached Lyttelton next morning at 7 a m. ; left again at 3.30 p.m., and arrived here at 0 o'clock this morning; fine weather was experienced on the passage. She leaves to-morrow lor Picton and Nelson. The aa. Penguin left Nelaon at 11 30 aju. yeßterday, and arrived at Pioton at 6.45 p.m., left again at 7.45 p.m. and arrived at Wellington at V minutes after midnight. She sailed South this afternoon. The steamer Napier arrived here this afternoon from Blenheim. Bho returns to Blenheim to-morrow. The steamers Hula and Manawatu for Wanganui, and Kennedy for Nelson aud Weat Coast, nailed last evening. The bm. Kiwi leaves for Castlepoint and Napier this afternoon, and the Jane Douglas proceeds to Foxton and the Btormbird to Wanganui, at 7 p.m. The steamers Huia and Manawatu are expected back from Wanganui to-morrow. The s.s. Wak&tipu will arrive from the South to-morrow morning and leave at noon for Bydney direct. The steamer Murray should arrive from Nelaon to-morrow. • The as. Go-Ahead sailed for Eaikoura and Uyttelton this afternoon. The barque Al«stcr finishes discharging today, and all claims are to be sent ia to W. & G. Turnbull & Co. by to-morrow. Bhe has been placed on the berth for London, and as she is the only vessel loading for Home, should have quiok despatch. Leviu & Co. are agents for the homeward voyage. A contributor to the European Mail says : — "I hear that what will be the largest steamdredger in the world la being manufketnrud for New Zealand by Messrs. W. Simons & Co., of Renfrew. It will carry 1400 tons of its own spoil, and prove admirably adapted to the purpose for which it was built."
