WEDNESDAY, 27th APRIL, 1881, At 12 o'clock. By order of tho Trustee in Bankruptcy of the Estate of Prestidge Bros. Important Sale of Saw-mill Plant. THE undersigned has received instructions to sell by public auction, at the Mill, Takaka, on Wednesday, 27th April, 1881, at 7.2 o'clock— The mill, mill-plant, horses, tools, waggons, Ac. The engine is a 10-horse power portable, by Marshall, with reversing gear, and is considered the best in the district. There are 7 circular, 2 vertical, and 1 firewood saws, trucks, benches, timber waggons, and junkers ; 5 heavy draught horses and 2 mares, and all the other requisites necessary for a complete and well-equipped mill. It has the right of cutting the timber off 400 acres, containing some of the best timber in the district, at a small royalty per 100. Adjacent to the mill aro cottages for the men required for mill and bush work. The telegraph station is only three miles off, and there is a splendid road for carting the timber to the wharf, in addition to which the iron rails are now near there for the construction of a tramway which will pass the mill within a few chains, and, by having a siding, enable the timber to be shipped at a nominal cost. The steamer Lady Barkly will leave Nelson the evening previous to day of sale, enabling intending purchasers to have ample opportunity of inspecting the various lots before the auction, and being in Nelson the day after the sale.
