THE undersigned has received instructions from the Wallsend Coal Company (Limited), of Collingwood to Bell by public auotion, at the .Nelson Auction Booms, NelBon, on Saturday, 9th April, at 12 o'clock— The CoAi. MINE, with iron tramways, containing about 110 tens rails, wharf, barge, trucks, leasehold anc freehold property and plant, and all the other requisites for a coal mine, of which the following is a brief description : — Lease from the Crown of one hundred and sixty acre s for twenty-one years from Ist January, 1870, at a royalty of 2 per cent., but not less than £16 a year. Ihe coal seams, five in number, have been cut at right angles by a main tunnel 7x5 For Bhipping the coal there is a wharf 7 chains 45 feet long, built principally of the best timber, with large bunkers for holding coal to shoot into vessels loading alongside. The freehold consists of two-and-half acres and thirteen sections of the Township of Ferntown, near the wharf, on which is Manager's house, dwellings for laborers, and all similar requisite*. The Mine has been worked up to a recent date on tribute, and given a good return The coal is considered amongst the best produced in the Australian Colonies. The upset price is £450, and with that exception the above will be sold in one lot without reserve.
