A THEATRICAL QUARREL.

_JI [united pbkbb association.] Christchtoch, 17th March. Great amusement was caused in town today by the practical visible outcome of a quarrel amongst the proprietors at the Theatre. It appears that Reynolds and Bandmann having disagreed, the latter issued some bills on the occasion of Misa Beaudet's benefit, relegating Reynolds to the tag, rag, and bobtail of the company, and exhibiting his own and other names in very large type. This Reynolds resented, and getting other bills printed, reversing the position of affairs, he tore down the others and stuck up his own. This little game was carried on all the day. As fast as Mem Herr got fre^h bills they wore torn down, and his bul-sticker was even assailed, and had his bills taken forcibly away from him. Bandmann then said he would not play " The Duke's Motto," advertised to-night," and wanted to play " The Lady of Lyons" instead, which was a dead failure before, but Reynolds dared him to do so, unless he guaranteed a house. Bandmann, not to be beaten, got a doctor's certificate stating that he was in such a state of nervousness and excitement that he mußt not play any parts in which any amount of physical exertion was needed. " The Lady of Lyons' ' was consequently produced. There are other rumors flying about which lead to the belief that the affair, which has created no small amount of amusement in the town, will oulminate in ihe Law Court, where, owing to the peculiar position whioh Reynolds holds as actor and manager, some knotty points are expected to be presented for solution.
