THE TERAWHITI QUAETZ REEFS.
The news from Terawhiti regarding the quartz reefs continues to be encouraging. Mr. George Bennett, who is well-known as an experienced goldminer, and a very competent authority, has just returned after a careful examination of the reefs, with a view to forming an independent judgment. His opinion is highly favorable, and he has brought in some fine specimens of auriferous quartz, in which the gold can easily be seen with the naked eye. Some of the specimens are from the Albion Company's ground and others from Brothers' claim, near Ohau Bay, which is about a mile and a half from the Albion claim. These specimens have not yet been crushed and fuUy tested, but will be shortly, and meanwhile they are on vi?w at the office of Mr. H. Elliott, accountant, Willis-street. '
