' On and after Ist November, 1880, Trains [will leave Wellington New Station for— Feathorston, Greytown, Carterton, and Mastorton, at 7.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Masterton for Carterton, Greytown, Featherston, and Wellington, at 7.50 a,m. and 1.30 p.m. Wellington for Upper Hutt— 7.Bo a.m., 11.10 a.m,, 3.30 p.m., and 6.10 p.m. Upper Hutt for Wellington— B a.m., 11.10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4.40 p.m. Wellington for Lower Hutt— 7.3o a.m., 11.10 a.m., 1.15 p.m., 3.30 p.m., 4.20 p.m., 5.10 p.m., and 6.10 p.m. Lower Hutt for Wellington--6.50 a.m., 8.50 a.m., 11.50 a.m., 2.40 p.m., 5 p.m., and 5.25 p.m. Extra Trains will leave Wellington for Lower Hutt at 11.15 p.m. on Wednesdays, and at 10 a.m., 7.30 p.m., and 11.15 p.m., on Saturdays. Trains will leave Wellington for Lower Hutt on Sundays, at 9.30 a.m., and 2.30 p.m., returning from Lower Hutt, at 10.5 a.m., aud 5.30 p.m. All trains will call at any' intermediate station to take or Bet down, when required, on notice being given the guard. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Parcels and Goods — For Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cross* Creek, Pigeon Bush, '.Fernside, Woodside, and all Flag Stations, must be Prepaid, and will be put out on the Platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Parcels and Goods — From the above Station can be made " To Pay " at Wellington, Petone, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke, Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Masterton. The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either daring or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers. Luggage, — Each passenger ia allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (net including merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers. Passengers ore strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the .Railway Department will not be responsible un,s sb it 18 booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children tinder three years of age travel free; above three and under twelve years of age, half-fare. Horses, Carriages, Ac. — The Railway Department does not Undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train but when sent, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-an-hour before the departure of the Train. The owners of Horses must provide means for securing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other Bpmcient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. All Time Tables issued prior to this date aro now cancelled. Beturn or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspended. Return Tickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on the day of issue only ; for each additional 25 miles, or f ractden thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return Tickets until the end of the following Monday. Special Notice. — To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train. GEO. ASHCROFT, District Manager.
