♦ MEETING AT MARTON. [united pbbss association. l Marton, ThiB Day. A crowded and thoroughly representative meeting, held hero last night, unanimously condemned the proposal to make Palmerston the terminus of the West Coast Bail way. Sir William Fox read a letter from the Secretary, Mr. J. H. Wallace, stating that Mr. Travers was not authorised to say that Palmerston wonld be the terminuß, and the whole matter was still undeoided. The meeting strongly favored the construction of the line, bnt not with Palmerston as the terminus.
