♦ SIE STAFFORD NORTHCOTE AND THE GOVERNMENT. LAND LEAGUE MEETINGS. (bbutkb's telegrams. I London, 14th March. Sir Stafford Northoote has issued a manifesto condemning the proposal of the Government to demand " urgency " to the consideration of Supply in Committee of Ways and Means. Ho declares that such a course would be subversive of the rights and privileges of the House of Commons. Large meetings, under the auspices of the Land League, were held yesterday at twenty different places in Ireland. All passed off without disturbance.
