[united press association.] Wanganui, This Dat. The first day's raceß of the Wanganui Meeting commenced to-day. The weather is splendid, and the course is in good order. Hurdle Race, of 75 soys. Lady Mary 1 King Don 2 GreyMomus 3 Seren started. Thia was a magnificent race, the first two finishing the last half mile neck and neok. The race was won by half a head. Grey Momus was a bad third. Time for 2\ miles, 4min. 39 l-sth sees. Wang an 01 D*RBY,of 100 soys. ; l\ miles. Blue Gown ... 1 Frivolity 2 Annuity ... ... ... •■• ... •» Ten started. A *cry pretty race. Won by a length. Time, 2min. 49|46fcs.
