There is strong talk about ParnelTs continued absence in Paris. The Irish party in Parliament are now disorganised. Kelly and Barry have not been in the House for a week. There whereabouts is unknown. There is a disposition among leading Leaguers to leave for Amerioa, but the Irish Press implore them not to desert their cause. A great anti-coercion meeting waa held in Hyde Park, and afterwards a procession halted in front of the Guards' and Carlton Eeform Clubs, groaning at the members. Precautions were taken by the Government, but no display of force was made. General Colley's first defeat by the Boers was a crushing one. The Boers might have annihilated him had they pushed their advantage. Colley left all his wounded men at the mercy of the enemy. The Steel and Iron Company, Liverpool, have gone into liquidation with liabilities Lieut Percy Boper, E.E., has been found murdered.
