The secretary of the Board of College Governors has supplied us with the following report of yesterday's proceedings •.—" The committee appointed to draft a scheme for the re-organisation of the College, to report to a meeting of the Board of Governors specially called, recommends — "That the salaries and other expense? shall be brought at once within the estimated income, and that no debt shall be incurred which the Governors have not the certain means of liquidating. With this view the committee recommend that the girls' department be at once discontinued, and also the preparation of boys for further progress at the New Zealand University after matriculation there, if such preparation will interfere with the course of instruction to other boys at the school, and that to relieve the College of liability in this respect disaffiliation from the New Zealand University be applied for. A. De B. Brandon, Chairman.' " The following resolutions were passed : — " That applications be called for by advertisement for the head mastership of the Wellington College, at a salary of £500 a year, with use of house and boarding establishment."
