Rifle Camp, 3rd March. Wellington secured a good share of the prize money in the 7th match to-day. F. Franco fired steadily throughout, and was several points ah' ad of any other competitors He also ties for the first place for the carbine belt. The following are the soores of the Wellington men in this match, which include parades : — 200 300 400 500

The Wellington riflemen did not do bo well, not a single prize falling to your district. The scores were: —

The shooting aa a whole was not so good this year as last, but some exceptionally fine scores have been made. A larger number of competitors are now staying in the camp than on any previous occasion, and Mr. Bennett's catering is giving general satisfaction. This Day. In the eighth match just finished, Lieut. Ballinger takes sth prize with 73, Burr the 12th with 70, and F. France the 14th with 70. Paynter, as the highest scorer, holds the Marlborough cup, which has to be won twice before becoming the absolute property of the winner. He also wins Hobson's cup for the best aggregate in the two allcomers' matches now fired, haying made 146 points. Grossman was next with 145.
