Additional intelligence from Natal regarding the disaster at Spitskop has been received. Tho Boers are stated to have had largo Btores of ammunition, with whioh they were able to maintain their attack without intermission, and stormed the position of the British splendidly during the temporary confusion whioh arose in the ranks of tho latter. They h»d previously preparod to cut off the British retreat, during which 1 they inflicted further lobs on oaf troopß, and prevented many from escaping. London, 28th February. It is announced that three more regiments a*re under orders for Natal to reinforce tho British 1 troops in th 6 Transvaal, and further that Sir Frederick Roberts will at once proceed to Natal to succeed the late Sir George' Colley in the command of tho forces operating against the Boers.
