Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald & Co held a sale of landed propeitlea at their mart yesterday. There was a Rood attendance, and the bidding for several lota was spirited Beotioni 6, 8, 10, and 11, sub-divisions of town sections in P&lmenton, and sections 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52a, in tba township of Feilding, were sold in. one lot to Mr. J. E. Nathan for £375; notion 116, in the township of Feilding, was sold to Mr. D. W. Downes (as agent) for £50, the laud being subjeot to a first mortgage of £120. A leasehold property in Taranaki Place, occupied by Mr. Thomas Scott, was knocked down to Mr. J. Flimmer for £400; section 151, township of Fitzherberton, was sold to Mr. P. M. Olhvier for £4 ; two Motions in Fitzherbert were purchased by the sumo gentleman for a similar sum ; also 5 acres in the Ouiro Distriot for £13; allotment 10 of the sub-division of section 14, Obiro Distriot, containing 3a lr 3Gp, was sold to Mr. W. A. Fitcbett, for .£l4 ; allotment Q of the subdivision of section 11, Hutt Distriot, having a frontage to Cbcrcn-atreet. was sold to Mr. A. H. Goldsmith for £4; section 19. Carnarvon, was sold to Mr. O. F. Richardson for £1 ; allotment 17 of the Bub-division of Block 344, fi'oxton, was Bold to Mr. D H. Bennett for £4. The total Bales realised £989. The other properties were withdrawn. WEATHER FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 9 A.M. TO-DAY. Wind— From south-east to east and north between Poverty Bay and Lyttelton. and from north-east and north-west at other places. Babombteb— Farther rise in the North fall at southern stations. Southward of Eaikoura the weather has been generally fine, with light or moderate winds chiefly from north-east and north; between Kailtoara and East Cape the wind has been strong from the southward, and the. weather squally and showery. Commwnioation with stations north of East Cape is interrupted! but southerly gales have probably been felt in that distriot. The barometer has risen at all stations since last report.
