Wind— Betweon north-east and north-west northward of Napier ; from south-west to southeast between Napier and Ly ttleton, and between south-weßt and north-west in the southern districts; wind backing. Babometeb— Further fall in the North; rise but falling again after 13 hours at southern stations. Sea— Heavy on western coast; increase between North Cape and. Bast Cape. Washings — Have been sent ta stations south of .Lyttelton, and telegrams indicating approach of strong northerly -winds to places north of East Cape. - ¦ SYNOPSIS OP IiABT-24 HOUBS.
