WEATHER FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 9 A.M. TO-DAY.
Wind — Between south-east and north-east, moderate, northward ot East G*pe; between south-west and south-east, moderate to strong, between East Cape and Ln ttelton ; and between south-west and north-west from Lyttelton southward. Badombteb— No indications of marked movement, but fall again toon at southern stations. Bba— lnorease between Kaikoura and Cattle* point SYNOPSIS 09 LA&T 24 HOURS. In the northern districts the barometer has fallen a little since the last report, and light winds with cloudy weather have been general. An area of low pressure passioß southward of tbeßluS yesterday afternoon caused a rapid fall of the barometer with threatening appearances at the more southern stations, but no violent winds were experienced. The weather has since cleared and tbe barometer risen. GEO. DBX7BY. 18th February.
