CHILD DROWNED IN THE HARBOR.
This morning, at half-past 10 o'clock, Mrs. Ingram, wife of Mr. Ingram, watchmaker, Willis-street, discovered a little boy lying on the beach at tho rear of her premises partially submerged by the water- the at once called her husband, who got down the breastwork, .and found, the child to be » Bon of Mr. Lichtschiendl, licensee of the Empire Hotel, a fine little fellow of some four years of age. The body was quite cold, and life appeared to have been extinct for some time. He sent in for Mrs. Lichtschiendl, and messengers were despatched for medical assistance. Drs. Coluds and Diver arrived with all haste, bat only to pronounce life quite extinct. It is not known how the boy got into the water. He had been seen on the balcony by on* of the servants a short time before ; but it ifl probable he had got on the jetty at the back of the hotel and had slipped into the sea. r
