Day Trams.— Through Trams between Newtown and the Railway Station pass every twenty minutes First day tram leaves Newtown 7.5 a. m ; last, 6.5 p.m. Railway Station, first, 7.43 a.m. ; last, 6.43 p.m. Night Trams.— Leave Newtown 7.15, 8.25, 9.35 ; Railway Station, 7.53; Government Buildings, 9.0, 10.5.— The last tram from Government Buildings will stop for the closing of places of amusement, if considered necessary. On Saturday night an extra tram will leave Newtown 6.45, 7.55, 9.0 ; Railway Station, 7.23; Government Buildings, 8.25, 9.35. Sunday Trams.— Leave Newtown at the hour and half -past the hour; Railway Station, at the hour and half-past the hour. — First tram from Newtown 1.30 p.m. ; last, 6 p.m. From Railway Station, 1.30 p.m. ; last, 6.30 p.m. Fares, 3d. This Time Table will be altered as may be necessary on holidays and special ocoasions. "VTEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. WELLINGTON SECTION. TIME TABLE. On and after Ist November, 1880, Trains will leave Wellington New Station for — Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Masterton, at 7.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Masterton for Carterton, Greytown, Featherston, and Wellington, at 7.50 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. Wellington for Upper Hutt— 7.3o a.m., 11.10 a.m,, 3.30 p.m., and 6.10 p.m. Upper Hutt for Wellington— B a.m., 11.10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4.40 p.m. Wellington for Lower Hutt— 7.3o a.m., 11.10 a.m., 1.15 p.m., 3.30 p.m., 4.20 p.m., 5.10 p.m., and 6.10 p.m. Lower Hutt for Wellington — 6.50 a.m., 8.50 a.m., 11.50 a.m., 2.40 p.m., 5 p.m., and 5.25 p.m. Extra Trains will leave Wellington for Lower Hutt at 11.15 p.m. on Wednesdays, and at 10 a.m., 7.30 p.m., and 11.15 p.m., on Saturdays. Trains will leave Wellington for Lower Hutt on Sundays, at 9.30 a.m., and 2.30 p.m., returning from Lower Hutt, at 10.5 a.m., and 5.30 p.m. All trains will call at any intermediate station to take or set down, when required on notice being given the guard. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Parcels and Gooda— For Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cross' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernside, Woodside, and all Flag Stations, must be Prepaid, and will be put out on the Platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Parcels and Goods — From the above Station can be made " To Pay " at Wellington, Petone, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke, Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Masterton. The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made whioh may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers. Luggage, — Each passenger ia allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (net including merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the Beat without inconvenience to other passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they ore proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is [placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it ia booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free; above three and under twelve years of age, half-fare. Horses, Carriages, &c. — The Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train but when sent, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-an-hour before the departure of the Train. The owners of Horses must provide means for securing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. All Time Tables issued prior to this date are now cancelled. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspended. Return Tickets for distances not oxceeding 25 miles are available on the day of issue only ; for each additional 25 miles, or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return Tickets until the end of the following Monday. Special Notice. — To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train. GEO. ASHCROFT, District Manager.
