Information has been received which seems to prove that the attempt to destroy the armoury at Salford, as reported this morn* ing, was actually made. It is now definitely known that an explosion took plaoe, but the cause of the same is a complete mystery. Telegrams are to hand from Athens reporting that the Greek ' Government haa decided that an attack shall be made at the end of this month to obtain the required territory in Epirus and Thessaly from Turkey, unless the oession be previously made. In consequence of this information, the Powers are making renewed efforts to prevent the outbreak of hostilities between Turkey and Greece, and to bring about a settlement of .the frontier difficulty.
