FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
[united fbbss association. l Cheistchuhch, Ist January. At South Eakaia yesterday, as a Mrs. Hefford and her two children alighted from a train, one of the latter fell off the platform, and the train, moving on, passed over it. Death waa instantaneous. This Day. At the inquest, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death, with a rider blaming the railway authorities for using the new, station too Boon, and stating further that protection was required at the end of the platforms. ______^____
