In prosperous times people are lavish of their money, paying £Q 10s for suits, when they could get quite as good from Huxley for £4 10s. When money is scarce people begin to enquire where they can get good value, and are directed to Huxley, who can make good suits at £3 or £3 10s, the £4 10s suits are quite equal to the best in Wellington, consequently Huxley has been doing a very huge trade, the last four months having employed from 30 to 40 hands.
