DUNEDIN. 6th September.

Captain M Kenzie has retired from the contest for Waikaia. About 450 persons attended a meeting of railway employe's to-night, when the new scale was discussed. A majority of 304 expressed themselves in favor of a strike, but there appeared to be great want of organieation.
