DELAYS ARE DANGEROUS.
*. i TO THB BDITOB OV THE EVENINO POST. Sir,— The City Council will meet this • evening, and some information with reference to the Cemetery question would be very acceptable to the residents in the neighborhood, who view with alarm the increasing death rate through the enormous growth of . the population. In what position does this rstion rest ? Have the City Council abaned the snbject? The present place is overcrowded, having been the public burial place of this city and suburban districts, even the country, for the lost forty 7 eara : Many thousands lie there, and the health of the city is endangered thereby. Surely, . with a population of twenty-five thousand people, it is time the City Council faced this • subject with all the power at their command. J If tfiey won't do this there are those who » willdraw up a petition and have it presented to Parliament as soon as the House meets. -' Two ratepayers have volunteered to obtain ; signatures to the same. — I am, &0. , An Anxious Ratepayer.
