THREATENED RUPTURE BETWEEN TURKEY AND RUSSIA. FRANCE AND VICTORIAN EDUCATION. [bxutbr's telegrams.]
London, 18th March. The Eussian Government has notified that it will cease to hold diplomatic relations with Turkey, unless the assassin who recently killed Commeroff, a servant of the Russian Embassy in Constantinople, receives a sentence of death. The 5 per cent. New Zealand 10-40 Loan is quoted at 102£, and the new 5 per cent, loan at 103. Paris, 18th March. The French Ministry are sending complete educational exhibits to the Melbourne Exhibits, and also a delegate to study the Victorian school system.
