THE WELLINGTON LAND AND BUILDING COMPANY.

The annual meeting of shareholders in this company was held to-day at 12 o'clock, at the offices of the company in Panama-street, Mr. J. E. Nathan in the chair. The following report was submitted: — "The directors j beg to submit to the shareholders for approval^and adoption the annexed statement of accounts, forthe year ending Ist March 1830. The operations of the company have necessarily been_ limited during the last twelve months, in consequence of the prevailing depression in commercial circles. A vacancy having occurred at the Board since the last .meeting of shareholders, the directors supplied the vacant seat by the appointment thereto of Mr. J. E. Nathan. The meeting, in accordance with the Articles of Association, will be called upon to elect two directors in the room of Messrs. J. Dransfield and J. E. Nathan, who retire by rotation, and who, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election." The balance-sheet made up to Ist March, 1800, showed a credit balance to profit and loss account of .£1723 18s lid. The capital paid rip is .£14,000 ; mortgages held by the company, £6675; debentures, .£2OOO. The contingent liabilities, viz, bills" under discount, amount to .£1683 lls 6d ; and uncalled capital set down as assets, to .£6OOO. The report and balance shedt after sqme little discussion were adopted unanimously. The retiring directors and auditors were reelected withont opposition. The meeting I concluded with the usual compliment to the | chairman.
