The 8.8. Wakatipu arrived in port at 7 o'clock last evening, having left Sydney on the 24th inst. She sailed again for the South this xnorning. The Huia, from Lyttelton and Kaikoura, came in at 10 15 last night She leaveß for Foxton tbis afternoon. The Government steamer Hinamoa, with hia Excellency the Governor and suite, left for Auokland about 11 o'clock last night. Tne fiteamers Wanganui for the South, Jane Douglas for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, Stormbird for Foxton, and Manaw&tufor Wanganui, sailed alter the Post was published yesterday. The steamer Wakatu, which started for Wanganui last evening had to retnrn to port at 9 o'clock last night, as the Boa and wind were too much for her at Terawniti. She made another start this afternoon The Tni did not leave for Wanganui last evening, but got away at 4 p.m. to-day. The s.e Wellington will arrive here to-morrow morning from Picton and Nelson, and sail again nme day for the South. The p a. Lyttelton will arrive from Blenheim to-morrow and returns to same port in the evening. As the steamer Waitaki only leaves Lyttelton (his afternoon she -will not arrive hare until tomorrow morning. Bne leaves on an excursion to Pioton on Thursday. A biigantine and a schooner were signalled this afternoon.
