CHRISTCHURCH. 15th November.

It was rumored that the insurance companies were paying policies on the ship Knowsley Hall, but such is not the case. The insurance will not be paid till the vessel is posted at Lloyd's. The sale of racing stock at the Rink to-day was a failure — Templeton, Maritana, Lone Hand, and the other thoroughbreds offered being passed in. The only sale was Volunteer, to Mr. M'Donald, of Dunedin, for £500.
