UNDER tbo Distinguished Patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consui-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Aflairt, dated 14th March, 1878. Dr. Cruiksbank, health officer for the City of Sandhurst, certifies to the extract being the most reliable remedy far external inflammation, bronchitis, diptheria, affections of the lungs, chest, all pains of rheumatic nature neuralgia, &a, all swelllDgs, bruises, rprains, wounds, disorder of the bowels, diarrhosa, tec. Epitome of declaration made before M Cohen, Esq., J.P at Sandhurst, October,' 1877 :— The son of Mr Raabe was hurt with an axe on the knee. After nine weeks' medical treatment it was declared neces*ary by Dr. Macgiilivray to amputate the injured limb. At that juncture the extract was applied, and the wound speedily cured without amputation. The daughter of Mr. Junghenn, sufferinjr trom diseaM of tho bone, as pronounced by Urs. Atkinson and Boyd, was cured just as speedily. Cures of whooping cough, very severe colds, croup, bronchitis, diphtheria, earache, pains in the head (neuralgia), inflammation of the eyes and that of a severely injured foot; others of bad legs, wound on' the arm with enormous swelling, of severe bruises and a sprained ankle (H. Brown), in which case eight months' medical advice was of no avail are reported bj the Donald Times, Newcastle Morning Herald, Cooktown Courier, Yorke's Peninsula Advertiser, and others. - The extract inwardly taken regulates the - action cf the kidneys, cures djsentery and olarrnoea, and Is the surest curat've agent and preventive of contagion in f carlet, typhoid, and intermittent fever.
