Tne steamer Toi, bound for Wellington, left the wharf at 9 o'clock last night, but on reaching the bar found too heavy a B ea running, and came to an anchor for the night. She toed again this morning, but could not get out. If tile weather moderates she will leave this evening.
The Government steamer Hinemoa left Onehunga on Wednesday afternoon, experienced head wind and sea, and and arrived here at 10 45 this morning. She was unable to laud passengers at Taranaki, for which place sho bad OT Armed Constabulary. At 10 o'clock last night she had to anchor at Long Island, the weather was bo bad, and remained there until 430 this morning. The Hineinoa sailed again this afternoon for Taranaki, taking a detachment of 25 of the Armed Constabulary to act as a guard over tbe Maori prisoners who are to be brought down to Wellington. .... ' The b.b. Taiaroa will arrive about 10 or 11 tonight, with the Ban Francisco mail, from the The' b.b. Ringarooma will arrive h6re tomorrow morning, from Melbourne, Hobart Town, and southern porta. The p b Manawatu leaves for Wanganui at 6 p.m. to-day. The Kiwi, for East Coast, Bails at 2 p.m. to-morrow. The b.b. Ladybird leaves for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers this evening, taking the Ban Francisco mail. The a a. Wellington sails North thifl afternoon. The brig Neptune iB still bar-bound in Woraer The Bteamers Hum. and Jane Douglas Will arrive tbis evening from Foxton.
