With reference to tbe supposed loss of the Flirt, Mr. M'Kenzie has received a telegram today to tbe effect that the brigantine flirt was safe at Kaikoura Peninsula. LTTTEIiTON, Ist July. Sailed. 1 a.m.— Wellington, for Wellington. Onkhonqa, Ist July. The Government Bteamer Hinemoa arrived this morning from Wellington via Taranaki. Hokiahga, Ist July. The brigantine Enterprise arrived here today from Wellington, to load timber. Vobt Chalmbbb, Ist July. The Owake, Belle, which slipped and put to sea from Timaru on the 20th June, fan in here this morning, with the loss of several sails and anchors. The gale has now abated and weather one.
The b.B. Wanaka left Lyttelton at 4.30 p.m. yeßterday, and arrived here at 9 this morning. Bhe leaves for Auckland Via East Coast at 9 a.m. to-morrow. The Charles Edward left Nelson at 5.30 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here at 8 this morning. She returns to Nelson at 6 p.m. to-morrow. The b.6. Jane Douglas left Foxton, at 3.15 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here at 3 this morning. _ The s.s. Napier came in from Blenheim thia morning. ' " The s.s. Eangatira arrived in harbor at 7 this jnorning from the Manukau via Tsranaki and ¦Wmuganni. She returns to same ports to-motrow • HM. gunboat Sandfly arrived in our harbor last night, from Auckland. She left there on the 20th ult., and experiencedTvery rongh weather throughout. The s.s. fluin. left Wanganni at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, experienced head winds, and arrived in our harbor at 7 this morning. Bhe leaves /or Foxtpa this evening. ,_,,. - ' The s.s. Tui arrived at 8 o'clock last evening ' from liyttelton and Kaikonra. - The as. Wanganni arrived from Westport at 10 o'clock last night. Bhe sailed south this afternoon. The s.B. Southern Croim left yesterday after* noon for Auckland via the Bast Coast. The p.s. Manawatu, for Wanganui, got away about 10 o'clock last night. As the Wellington onry got away from liyttelton at 1 o'clock this morning, she will not reach • our harbor before 7 this evening. Owing to the unfavorable weather'tb-day, the sailing of the Fattia for Patea has been, postponed until 11' S.mrto-morrow.
