MEETINGS OF CREDITORS.

An adjourned meetirg of the creditors of George Sayer, storekeeper, was held yesterday, when it was proposed by Mr. Thompson, and seconded by Mr. Scott, that tbe deed of assignment be not assented to, and that the debtor, George Sayer, forthwith file a declaration of his inability to meet bis engagements. The resolution was carried. A meeting of the creditors of Michael Monaghan, contractor, was hald yesterday, when the deed of assignment was assented to - A meeting of the creditors of Chas. M'Kirdy, contractor, took place yesterday. Mr. Edwards, on behalf of the debtor, made a proposition to purchase the estate at the rat? of 5s in the £ in 1 month, 2s in 3 months, and 3s in 6 months, with an approved guarantee, the names to be submitted in one week. The offer was accepted, the chairman (Mr. Levy) to act with the trustees. Meetings of the creditors of the following persons which were called for yesterday lapifid in cocsequence of the non- attendance of ptrsous interested: — John Breen, carpenxer, of Karori; Jessie Bowies, farmer, of Porirua; and C. Roadley, farmer, of Makara. A meeting of the creditors of B. J. Jones, of Courtenay Place, storekeeper, was held to-
