Wheat was inclined to harden in the early part of the week, but was cheoked on the receipt of Melbourne exchanges; best, 3s 6d to 3b 10a; , inferior, 3s; fowl feed, 2a 6d. Oats are weak; best, 3b ; feed, 1 8d to Is lOd. Good barley, ss. Derwent potatoes, £5. Business in general merchandise fairly brisk— British ales, 12s to 14s 6d; South, 12s 6d; sacks, 8s 6d to 9s; wool packs, 3s 6d to 3s Od; Baqars hardening; and teas maintain their value. Auckland, 28th June. Mr. BtrcKLAND quotes an advance in beef of 2s to 3s per 1001b. ; prices ranged from 20s to 335, averaging 32s for good quality. Fat sheep lower by 2a to 3s ; good half-bred wethers, 10s to 15a 6d, or barely 2Jd per l'o.
