REWI AND THE GOVERNMENT.

The following telegram was received by the Native Minister last night from Rewi. In view of the telegrams which have lately appeared, this statement of Rewi's is of considerable importance, as showing tbat he is still bent upon his plan of a peaceful solution of the present, difficulty :—: — Kihikihi, 26th Juno. I have received a letter from the Governor. I am very glad with the sense of his letterfirst, consenting to my proposals; second, bringing us together ; third, your stopping all negotiations, and leaving all these things in the hands of the present Government.
