DUNEDIN. 25th June. '

Mr. Green, M.H.R., addressed his constituents at Port Chalmers this evening. Ha explained that at tbe last session he had voted lor the Government on the Tapanui railway question against his judgment, and simply because the Government had made it a party mattery but after the action of tho Government in letting; the Thames- Waikato railway without authority during the recess, in future he would support the Government only to the extent that his judgment would warrant him. , A hearty vote of confidence was given to VLt. Green.
