Mr. Gair, manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, at Tauranga, was found lying dead in the Bank this morning. The deceased had been shot through the head. The accountant discovered the body on opening the bank"6fiice>.-lLisjupposed tbat jdeceased had committed suicide. Tauranga, This Day. G. N. Gair, manager of the National Bank, committed suicide about 6 o'clock this morning by (hooting himself. No reason can at present be assigned, as he is stated to be solvent. The bullet entered the left temple, death being instantaneous. Mr. Gair has been drinking heavily for some time past, and a day or two, since asked a gentleman here which was the best place to shoot himself. An inquest will be heid this evening.
