AUCKLAND. This Day.
Dr. Thornelly has resigned his position at the Lunatic Asylum in consequence of illhealth, and if well enough proceeds to England by the next Suez mail. At a meeting of Nichols' creditors held today, his liabilities were stated to be £371; assets, nil. The creditors found the bankrupt had been living without economy, and suspended his certificate for three months.
