Arrived— Hawea, from the South; Hinemoa, from Manukau. Sailed— Hawea, for Russell. Dunedin, 20th June. Bailed— Ladybird, for northern ports. Passengers for Wellington— Maesrs. Boberta, Hull, llackay, and Wheeler. Meeirß. Cargill, Gibbs & Co. have received telegrams from London, announcing the arrival there on the 17th instant of the Bhip Daoedin, after a smart passage or 76 days. The barque William Turner, coal laden, from Newcastle, was towed up yesterday evening. Caring the passage she encountered terrifflc gales, with continuous seas, which swept her deck, washing away all her spare gear, and several sails were blown away, owing to which 6he bad to heave-to on two separate occasions. She left Newcastle on the 23rd May. Nelson, 21st June. Arrived, early— Wellington, from Picton and Wellington. Sailed, 10 aja.— Toiaroa, for Picton and Wellington. Foxton, 21st June. The Btormbird and Tui are detained by a howling couth-wester. They will leave for Wellington aB Boon as the weather moderates. The 8.8. Wanganui left Dunedin on tha 17th, called at Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton; leaving tho latter port at 5 p.m. yesterday, arrived In Wellington at 9 thia morning, after a im&rt passage of lit hours. She experienced a heavy B.E. gale from Lyttelton, doing a little damage, which is reported in another column. Tbe steamers Tararua for Sydney via East Const, and Wellington for Picton, Nelson, and Dunedin, sailed last evening. Tbe barque Anne Melhulßh made a start for Newcastle yesterday afternoon, but owing to the strong H.W. wind blowing, she had to bring up oil Point Holswell. The sailing of the Kiwi for the Bast Coast had to be postponed until to-day, in consequence of the heavy weather prevailing yesterday afternoon. The p.s. Wallaoo leaves at 6 p.m. to-day for Nelson. The Rangatira, for Wanganui, Taranaki, and Manukau, will sail to-morrow, and the Jane Douglas, for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, on Monday. The 8 8. Ladybird will arrive in Wellington to-morrow forenoon from Port Chalmers and Lyttelton. She suits again on Monday for Auckland, via the East Coast. The p s. Manawatu will arrive to-morrow from Wanganui. The Government steamer Stella will leave for Stephens Island this c vening, should the weather znoderte. It ia probable that on Monday next tiie will take a detachment of Armed Constabulary to Taranaki. The fI.S. Taiaroa, did not leave Nelson until 10 this morning, consequently she cannot arrive before to-morrow morning. The b.s. Wanaka, -which left Napier at 11.20 a.m. yesterday, had sot arrived up to 2.30 p.m. to-day; she has been detained, no doubt, by the heavy gale blowing. The Union Company's fine steamer Wakatipu left Sydney for Wellington on the 17th, and, no doubt, -will arrive here to.morrow afternoon. The s.B. Arawata, with the iuward Suez mail, should reach the Bluff to-morrow afternoon or Monday morning, as she left Melbourne on Wednesday last.
