NOMINATION OF MAYOR.
The nomiuationof candidates for the Mayoralty took place at noon to-day. The proceedtng», as usual, were totally devoid of anything like excitement. As was anticipated only two candidates were brought forward— Mr. George Hunter, who was nominated by Messrs. J. R. Brown and Robert Carswell ; and Mr. WiUlam Hutchison, who was nominated by Masrs. James Barnard and T. W. Young. The election for Mayor takes place on Tuesday, the 27th instant. ~;r[.\ /
