FIRE AT CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Agency.l

Christchorch, 15th May. Shortly after half-pa«t 10 o'clock to-night a fire broke out in the office and store occupied by Messrs. a. Wilson and Co. The building being of wood, was very soon a mass of flames, and at one time it threatened the destruction of the Queen's Hotel adjoining. The Fire Brigade, however, soon arrived on the spot, and succeeded in confining the fire- to the building in which it broke out, and which was completely gutted. There could not have been much goods in tho place. The insurances on the building were £-200 only. lGth May The insurances on the building of Messrs. A. Wilson and Co., which was destroyed by fire last night are :— On the building £200 in the Standard, in the name of J. L. Wilson, the stock in the name of A. Wilson for £200. The two Wilsons are not related.
