It is with very great pleasure we are able to announce that Mr. Huuter Jias acceded to the large and influential requisition presented to him ye>terday, asking him to consent to be- nominated 'for v the Mayoralty of this city. Mr. Hunter ha.9 consented 'with great reluctance, «s his present public duties already are a serious tax to his time and nealtu, but he has felt compelled to yield to the earnest representations made to . tbit it is his duty at tho present crisis to give his fellowcitizens tlie benefit of his long experience in public business.
