The following New Caledonian- intelligence has been received here ; — There is a great outcry against Higginson's mining monopoly, and petitions have been presented to the Government against its being allowed to continue. The rebel chiefs have been sent to Tahiti. The French ironclads Bourbon, Victorieuse,, and Suron have been sent to watch the Chilian war. *
