A new steamer for the Coromandel trade waa launched to-day and christened the Coromandel The barque Star of North soils to-nigntfor Fairway Island, to load guano for England. Lyttei/ton, 27 th April. Arrived— G.B.S., ohartered by Bhaw 8aTi11,133 days from London, 89 from Lisbon ; She lost her fore and main masts hi a gale crossing the Bay of Biscay, and repaired at Lisbon ; jettisoned part of her cargo. Isaac Hill, 129 days from New York; she has 1100 tons general cargo, half being for Wellington. Sailed— Omeo, lor Bluff; H.M.B. Emerald, for Chatham Islands; Boyne, for London, with 17,000 saoks wheat. WANGANtn, 27fch ApriL Arrived, noon— Manawatu, from Wellington. 28th April. Arrived, 6.30 ».m.— Hawea, from Wellington. Nhw Plymouth, 28th April. Arrived, 6 a.m.— Wellington, from Wellington Bsott, 38th April. Arrived, 7.80 am.— Arawata, from Melbourne, with the Suez mail. She sails for the North at 4 p.m. She left Melbourne at 2 p.m. on the 23rd, and experienced northerly winds and toe weather during the passage. She brings 36 saloon and 40 steerage passengers, and 290 tons of cargo, for all ports. Saloon passengers for Wellington— Mias Scott, Mrs. Mills and family (4), Captain Gardner, Mr. Preston. Steerage : 10, ana 40 tons cargo.
The 8.3. Rangatira arrived early this morning from Wanganui, and leaves again to-night for Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Manukau. The B.s. Wellington came in from Nelson, at 10 o'olook on Saturday night, and left again for Taranaki and Manukau at 2 p.m. The Jane Douglas arrived from Lyttelton and Kaiboura at 0 p.m. on Saturday, and returns to Bamo porta this evening. - The Stormbird, from Foxton, mode our harbor on Saturday night, and leaves for same port this evening. The b.B. Wanaka left Port Chalmers at 1.30 pan. on Friday, oalled at Akaroa and Lyttelton, and arrived in Wellington at 12.45 p.m. yesterday. Bhe left again this afternoon for Auckland via East Coast. The b.B. Claud Hamilton left Melbourne on the 19th, called at Hokitika, Greymouth, and Nelson, arriving hero at 8 p.m. yesterday. She returns 1 to same ports to-morrow. The steamer Wakatipu loft Sydney on 22nd and oaine into port at 7 p.m. yesterday. She goes South to-morrow. We have to thank Mr. Llggins, purser, for files, <&o. The barque India, from Southporfc, Tasmania, with a cargo of railway Bloopers, pollings, &c, was brought in by Coxswain Shilling at 10 o'clock this morning. Sho left on tho sth inst., and experienced easterly and southerly weather. The p.d. Monowatu, for Wanganui, sailed on Saturday, and the Hawea, for the South, got away yesterday afternoon. The Taiaroa leaves for Pioton and Nelson this evening.
