MASTERTON. 28th April.
The Masterton Prospecting Company, which has been talked of for some time, bas now been started. Tbe following gentlemen are provisional directors: — Messrs. D.'M'Gregor, D. Donald, M'Ardle, Dreyer, and J. Brown. A resident clerk has been located at Masterton by the Minister of Justice, in response to a reouMtion from tha residents.
Objects of Interest.— Debts. A Doubtful Recommendation. — Brown— " The concern's as safe as the Bank." Jones — " Conipwisons are odious." — Punch. Eve's Home. — " Is this the Adams House?" asked a stranger of a Bostonian. " Yes, till yon get to the roof ; then it's raves."
