John Casey, charged to-day with stealing £40 worth of property from John Gillon, m committed for trial. The robbery took place kt an hotel. * The milkmen have resolved to increase the price of milk from 4d to 5d per quart. In their announcement the director state that they are desirqus of supplying the public with a first-class morning paper at tha lowest possible price. ' A man named Weir yesterday was committed for trial on a charge of attempted rape on a young girl, aged sixteen. Both were iFvfott at a farmer's place, at Whitecliffet. Toe girl Is a servant, and the prisoner a ploughman on the farm. - • •
