Tho last division of profits took place ia 1874, and the cosh surplus thon divided amounted to £285,000, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent, per annum on tho sum assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims havo varied from £15 per cent, on the sum assured for c policy of five years' standing to £150 per cunt, for ono of twentyfive years' duration. Bonuses become vested additions to policies when they havo been full five years in force. The profits realised during the last fivo years will be ascertained and divided as nt December next, and all policies issued on before that date will be entitled to participat in the profits of quiuquiunium.
