CHRISTCHURCH. 2nd December.
At a mooting of the Cemetery Board to-dny a general opinion was oxprcssod that tho tirao had now come when a necropolis should ho established for Christchurch and tho surrounding district. Another case of indecent exposure was hoard this afternoon. When the case was called on, Mr. Mollfsh, the R.M , said ho wished on this occasion that the public would assist justice. Thero would be a number of young girls examinod as witnesses, and there would naturally bo a great deal of difficulty in getting their evidenco with men standing by; ho had no power to clear the Court, but he would leave it to their good taste to leave whilo thefto witnesses woro being examined. Ihe spectators at onco hft in a body, his Worship saying this was only what ho expected, and he thanked them very much. A largo number of witnesses were thon examined. One case was fully gone into, and the R.M. expressed bis opinion that the evidence went in favor of a conviction ; as, however, there were several other cases against the same prisoner, ho would wait until all were heard bafore giving his decision. Miss Amy Sherwin, Miss Eva Davenport, and Signor Pompoi, mako their first appearance at the Odd Follows' Hall to-morrow evening.
