The Government are now asking Parliament for a vote of £50,000 to meet the expenses of the Sydney Exhibition, on the ground that it is desirable for Government to assume the direction of such au important colonial concern Foley and Newton, the pugilists, alter severe fighting, which lasted 70 minutes, were interrupted by the arrival of the police, and so the championship remains undecided.
