NEW PLYMOUTH. 28th Novembor.
The Herald publishes a telegram from Mr. Stout re immigration to Taranaki, as follows : — " We have none to spare from other places ; all are clamouring tor more immigrants. 1 propose to take several families from Jackson's Bay in about a fortnight, and will forward them direct to New Plymouth, and if there can be got any immigrants not required will arrange to forward them to New Plymouth. The Agent-General will be informed of the wants of Taranaki." He the Waimate Plains sale, he will not definitely fix the place till tbe survey is finished. Rewi is still in New Plymouth with his family, and walks about the town as it* he had been accustomed to the place all his life. He dresses as a European, and his wife and children do the same. They are stopping at the Masonic Hotel with Mr. Sueeban. The banquet to Mr. Sheehan to-morrow will be in no way political, nor will there be any political utterances thereat.
